British Day on Sunday April 25th
The feature race on Sunday will be the LBBW Bank Grand Prix (Prof V Michal Memorial), 1400 m., National Listed, for 3-y-o colts and geldings. The three main contenders have different backgrounds. British-bred Rabbit King, owned by Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov, ran here last year, and finished a good 4th behind the outstanding Shamalgan and Ramble On in the Winter Favourite at Prague Velka Chuchle in October 2009. Mileryt was a leading 2-y-o in Poland last year, and has been brought to the Czech Republic by YOKO. Irish-bred Miracle Match, owned by Dr Jiri Charvat, was very highly rated in his home country and a great deal is expected from him this year. He is currently joint-favourite for the Czech Derby, to be run at Prague Velka Chuchle on Sunday, June 27th. In the RIGIPS Prize, Sharpour, winner of four top races over 1400 m and 1600 m in 2009, faces last year's Czech champion sprinter Ediggio. As usual, the first race is at 2 pm, and there are eight races on the card.
Mikrop Fong wins the fillies trial
The main race on Sunday April 18th was the Rudolf Deyl Memorial, sponsored by FRBC, National Listed, 1400 m, the main trial for the Czech One Thousand Guineas. Mikrop Fong, owned by Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov and ridden by Martin Srnec confirmed her good 2-y-o form, winning comfortably. Champion jockey Vaclav Janacek had another hat-trick of winners, and has now ridden 10 winners in the first three Sunday afternoons of the season at Auto Hase Park Velka Chuchle Prague Racecourse.
AUTO HASE - New general partner of Velka Chuchle racecourse
Prague Velka Chuchle racecourse is pleased to announce that it has its first ever general partner, AUTO HASE. AUTO HASE is the authorized Volvo dealer in the Czech Republic. The official name of the racecourse has been changed to AUTO HASE PARK VELKÁ CHUCHLE - Racecourse. The feature race on the opening day of the 2010 Czech horseracing season at Velka Chuchle, the 85th running of the Gomba Handicap, will also carry the name AUTO HASE Grand Prix.
Improved railway service to Prague - Velka Chuchle
There is now a train service every thirty minutes from the centre of Prague to Velka Chuchle racecourse. Trains leave Prague Main Station (Hlavni nadrazi) at 9 minutes and 39 minutes after each hour, and stop at Smichov Station (Smichovske nadrazi) at 17 minutes and 47 minutes past each hour. They arrive at Velka Chuchle at 23 minutes and 53 minutes after the hour. The station is four minutes walk from the grandstand. Trains leave Velka Chuchle for the city centre at 9 minutes and 39 minutes after the hour. Prague City Integrated Travel tickets are valid on this route. A 26-crown ticket will get you to or from any point of departure in Prague. Buy the ticket in advance and validate it before you enter the train. Note that tickets are not on sale at Velka Chuchle station.

You find your own way back into town at the end of the racing day very easily on one of the frequent city buses or local trains. DERBY KLUB
The Derby klub offers comfortable facilities, and is just the thing for regular racegoers, or for a single day?s racing. Annual membership costs 15000 crowns per year, for which you get entry for two persons on each racing day, including a meal, racecards and a welcome drink. Members can sign in guests.
