Dominique won The President Stakes



In beautiful weather and with the biggest crowd of the season, the penultimate this years raceday took place at the racecourse Chuchle Arena Prague on Sunday, October 27. The highlight of the program was the 99th President Stakes (Class A, 2m, 200 ths CZK), a traditional two-mile ultra-long-distance race, which was founded in 1920 by the first President of Czechoslovakia Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.

Five-year old gelding Dominique (1,7:1 - fav.), whose team - jockey Jan Verner, trainer Pavel Tůma and owner Jiří Charvát - defended last year's win with Be Master, won by one and quarter lenghts ahead of 3yo filly Ile Jones (4:1), with another 3yo filly That's My Girl (6,5: 1) third. Dominique achieved the fourth lifetime win, the first one in the highest class race and the first one at Velká Chuchle racetrack.

Jockey and trainer Jiří Chaloupka has very successful day, he won two races as a trainer and three races as a jockey: reached the ninth lifetime hattrick.

Trainer Pavel Tůma and owner Jiří Charvát won both main races of the day, President Stakes and Grey horses Stakes, sponsored by CK Martin Tour.

Mrs. Alena Plimlová became the winner of the 17th running of Hipospol Cup, all season metropolitan series of races for apprentice riders.
