Stunning win for Barthesa

Simson Stakes (6f, 100 ths. CZK), the traditional first important race for 2yo horses, held since 1944, was the main race of summer raceday.  Its start was attended by eight fillies and one colt, including the winners of all three June races for the youngest horses.

Favorized filly Barthesa (j. Lukášek, tr. Helena Vocásková, own. Statek Blata Český ráj) accelerated inside final furlong and won by nine lenghts ahead of Miluška, with Rabbit Breath, Achird and Planteur's Whiskey closely third, fourth and fifth. Barthesa reached the second win in second lifetime start.

Trainer-champion Helena Vocásková and jockey-champion David Liška won two races of the programme.
