Aleš Opatrný won Eliot Cup

The second complete show jumping season in Chuchle Arena Prague ended on the second weekend of October with the second running of the Eliot Cup. Competition is named by (Eliot) only one Czech horse that won the Olympic Games in jumping in the saddle with František Ventura (1928). Perhaps a little symbolically, less than a year before the Tokyo Olympics, Aleš Opatrný, who is qualified for a sports holiday in Japan, won this year's Eliot Cup.

Aleš Opatrný was the only one to advance to the final part of the competition without penalty points in Sunday's Eliot Cup with two horses. With Dukato VTH and mare Elegance 1 he repeated the clean ride and took first and second place with this pair of horses. Rudolf Doležal with Salana finished third, when he scored only two penalty points in the basic round.

Jaroslav Jindra and Kigali also had a clear account in the final, but he carried four points from the beginning of the competition. If it weren't for him, he would be the winner, as his time of 55.58 seconds was two tenths faster than the Opatrný had with Dukato. (JM)
