Classa still unbeaten this year

The highlight of the third September Sunday in Chuchle Arena Prague was the 20th Harry Petrlík Memorial Stakes (Class A, 1m, 3yo+ f+m, 135 ths. CZK), in which the 5yo mare, this year unbeaten, Classa was the hot favorite. She won all three races in this season by close margins, and the fourth win was the same: Classa won only by a head in front of another 5yo mare, Rabbit Coulsty (champion of this race a year ago).

Rabbit Coulsty set the good pace, but in final furlong Classa (j. Fialová, tr. Luka, own. Martin Bláha) caught up with her and won by a head, with 3yo Eagle Babe third by a one lenght. Classa achieved her ninth lifetime win (of twelve races), fourth one of four races. She won this race also two years ago and became the third double winner of this race. Trainer Václav Luka celebrated the 100th Class A win of his successful career.

Special race BoKaBau Stakes – 2nd Lata Brandis Cup (one mile Class C handicap) only for female riders was won by young and very talented Petra Zedková aboard 7yo gelding Sea the Night.

Last year's Czech amateur champion rider Matyáš Luka (son of trainer Václav Luka) won three races and reached his first lifetime hat-trick. Trainer Josef Bartoš won two races and wrote the double, after long twenty years.
