EŽ Praha Gold Cup for Capivari



On Sunday, September 13, as the eighth part of this year's metropolitan season, the only one raceday at the Chuchle Arena Prague with obstacle races, took place here. The highlight of EŽ Praha raceday, 14th EŽ Praha Gold Cup (Class A, 2m 5f, 360 ths. CZK), is the longiest and the richest Czech fences race.

In field of six, the top-favorite Anaking (5:10, j. Faltejsek, tr. Tůma, own. Dr. Charvát) placed closely third by outsider Dragon (11:1, j. Vyhnálek, tr. Olehla, own. DS Pegas) and for the first time in the Czech republic ran 8yo grey gelding Capivari (2,7:1, own. Scuderia Aichner SRL) won by three and half lenghts, achieved the eighth lifetime win. Jockey Josef Bartoš celebrated triumph after one month health break, former jockey Josef Váňa jr. won this for the fifth time, but for the first time as a trainer.

In other (flat) races three times jockey-champion Jan Rája won two races (75th career double), also trainer Mrs. Kateřina Berthier and stall DS Helen won two races, for the first time in their careers.
