Horse racing season begins, without spectators

With a delay of three weeks, the horse racing season in Chuchle Arena Prague will start this Sunday. Unfortunately, fears of an epidemic situation have been confirmed, the first two originally scheduled dates had to be canceled, but fortunately the third one was saved, which should start the season so that the sequence of the most important performance tests and classic races will be observed during the spring. Spectators are not allowed to enter the complex, however, it will be possible to watch the races on the internet dostihy.tv, where a stream from the whole day will run, or live on the ČT sport channel from 3.30 pm.

A total of 98 horses will be presented in eight interesting races, the greatest attention will be focused on three Class A races. In the Prof. Michal Memorial Stakes, the trial for Czech 2000 Guineas, the easy wins of September will be followed by promising colts Vi Fi and Vert Liberte. Thanks to the various weights carried, the Gomba handicap is always difficult race to guess, in any case, the great personality of the starting list is the multiple sprinter champion Mr Right. A number of excellent horses start in the Tipsport April Stakes, including the two-time Prague Stakes winner Torque Power, the attractive participant undoubtedly will be the filly Zariyannka, which showed solid performance in Saudi Arabia on February.

The next raceday will take place on 16 May, and we will of course inform you about the possible opening of events to the public.
