Prestigious double for new trainer and owner

On Sunday, April 24, the season at the Chuchle Arena Prague continued with the third raceday, whose two highlights (Class A races) were dominated by representatives of the ARS stable, charges of trainer Konstantin Kobzarev Arkhangelsk and Politicum. Also jockey David Liška did great, the 2018 champion achieved a hat-trick in framework races.

In the 33rd Memorial of Professor Michal Stakes (trial for Czech 2000 Guineas, Class A, 7f, 150 ths CZK, 3yo c+g) Masis Stakes winner Arkhangelsk under jockey Jiří Palík achieved wire-to-wire win against November Prague winter favorite winner Zamico, with new french import Help third. The UniCredit Bank (17th Jaroslav Mašek Memorial) Stakes (Class A, 7f, 150 ths CZK, 4yo+) was won by EJC Leram Million 2020 winner Politicum and his young rider Lukáš Charvát reached the biggest success in his career. The winner of the Czech 2000 Guineas 2018 Sagar finished closely second, Lailaho placed third.

Both winners represent the new stable (of Mrs. Anastasia Kobzareva) ARS and are in the training of the new trainer Konstantin Kobzarev (son-in-law and former jockey of well known trainer Arslangirej Šavujev). These two Class A wins were the first winning records for this trainer and for this owner too.

The start of the program was marked by persistent rain, but luck was raining on the former champion: jockey David Liška, who restarted his career this year after a one-year break, won three races in a row and recorded his sixth lifetime hat-trick. With two wins from Bratislava on Saturday, he won a total of five races over the weekend. Martina Havelková also won twice, once as a trainer and once as a jockey.
